Talk about Epic Failures. The Proton-M/Breeze-M launch vehicle and Kazsat-2 and SES-3 (OS-2) satellites were delivered to launch pad 200 at Baikonur . Experts of the Russian space industry commenced Day 1 operations at the launch pad. Launch of Proton-M/Breeze-M launch vehicle with Kazsat-2 (Kazakhstan) and SES-3 (OS-2) (USA) is slated for July 16. The launch by Proton-M was contracted by International Launch Services Inc. (ILS). Russian Khrunichev Space Center is a stock majority holder in ILS.

Shortly after launch,  the rocket experienced. a major malfunction and took a nosedive back to Earth endangering people on the ground.  Before impact, the rocket self-destructed, but the explosions could be felt miles away.  Just watch this amazing footage.
