Step One

• Enable Boot and Setup page BIOS password
• Turn computer on, press key to enter Setup. Usually F1, F2, F11, Del, something similar. Then go to the Security tab

Step Two

• Boot Ubuntu LiveCD to cleanly wipe hard drive
• After booting LiveCD, open up terminal and type sudo “fdisk -l” to get a list of disks and partitions
• Use the wipe command on each partition that is listed with the above commandie “sudo wipe /dev/sda1″
• Repeat for each drive (sdb, sdc) and each partition (sda1, sda2)
• Reboot

An American sea explorer has found the remains of a World War II merchant ship along with a cargo of platinum bars worth an estimated $3 billion. The precious metals are thought to have belonged to the USSR and the UK, who were going to use them to pay back the US for aid. If this is correct, it is the world’s most valuable find of its kind.

Pressure is mounting on Rupert Murdoch’s media empire after the arrests of eight people over alleged corruption. It is reported those detained include five journalists from the Sun newspaper, a policeman, a defence ministry official and a serving member of the armed forces. The arrests are part of an investigation into illegal payments allegedly made to officials for information. Last month, police arrested four current and former Sun staff, and another policeman.
